The project Temporary Map of Temporary Places examines the representation of armed conflicts across the internet and the media, as well as the impact of news coverage and information overload on social relations and the contemporary geopolitical landscape. Formally, the work combines mural painting with new media. Its interactive dimension allows viewers to access animated content through the augmented reality (AR) application – Augmenta. The project constitutes the practical part of the artist’s MA thesis, completed in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Dominik Lejman at the University of the Arts in Poznań. The final form of the installation is determined by the exhibition space, making each presentation unique and open to further modification and development. Between 2020 and 2022, the project’s colour palette and scale have changed, and animated content evolved continuously in response to current events.
